The male’s body is grey, the wing has white stripes, and the head is light yellow. The crown is very long, rising up to the cheek. There is an outstanding orange cluster and the mouth is grey. The female looks like the male but the head is grayish yellow. The orange color on the cheek is not noticeable, and the tail is yellow with the grey line strapped across.
Can be found in Australia.
The food is grass seed, annual crops seed, fruit and small fruits.
Lives in the moorland near the water source which is landwards and far from the seashore of Australia. It lives together in a small group or in pairs. While flying, there will be some noise that can be heard.
